We went to Butterfly World in years ago. My first son (Thing 1) and I spent a lot of time there. It's such a peaceful, pretty place to explore. We went there about once a week for a while and would take our lunch and meet other mommies there too. It's worth it to get an annual pass if you want to go more than once a year. There's also a park right next to it that's fun for the kids after they are done at Butterfly World. We purchased the native pupae at Butterfly World in the gift shop. So, when I took my son, I wasn't surprised at the magnitude of beauty that was there. But I was surprised at my lack of knowledge about the history of Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens coming to be. It's quite interesting! Driving up Yamato Road, I never thought too much about this street. I never knew that there was once a Yamato Colony; Japanese farmers living in present-day northern Boca Raton.
