Are you looking for things to do at Disney Springs? Disney Springs, formerly known as Downtown Disney, is a retail and entertainment complex in Orlando. It has everything from shopping and food to live music.
Disney Springs has four distinct areas: Marketplace, The Landing, Town Center, and West Side. It’s another place to experience Disney magic, besides the theme parks. There are so many things to do at Disney Springs, Orlando, especially for adults.

Disney Springs with Kids
When I go with the kids, the first thing they want to do is go to the Lego Store, World of Disney Store, the Vintage Amphicar (also called Italian Water Taxi), or the Marketplace Carousel.
We head straight to Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Company® first, then cruise around before making any major plans. The kids want to eat at the Rainforest Cafe, whereas my husband and I prefer to dine at the BOATHOUSE.®
Both are great choices, however, cater to something different.
Disney Springs with kids is fun, but the adults don’t get much time “adulting.” So, it’s really a personal choice and then a lot of planning around that choice so that there is balance.
Disney Springs without Kids
I had never been to Walt Disney World Resort without the kids so I couldn’t imagine going back on a trip without them. Even though Disney Springs is not the same vibe as the theme parks, it’s still Disney magic and a part of Walt Disney World.
You can visit Disney Springs on your own or with friends and family. It’s always a good time. There are so many things to do at Disney Springs for adults too.
I definitely didn’t think I’d ever go on a girls day out to Disney Springs. But I did and had a fabulous time.
How to Get to Disney Springs
Most people take a water taxi or a bus to Disney Springs but we walked over from Wyndham Lake Buena Vista (7 minutes away). That’s the beauty of staying at an official Walt Disney World® Hotel steps from Disney Springs.™ We just walked over the bridge.

Girls Day out at Disney Springs
We packed in so many fun activities, from shopping to themed restaurants all in one day and I’m so glad we did. It was a blast!
There’s something about “girls day out” trips, especially where there is already Disney Magic in the air. We ran around here and there, darting inside shops and leaving with bags, chit chatting and laughing on the way. It’s just what this soul needed.
Between dining and shopping (both my favorites), here are the 7 amazing things to do at Disney Springs with the girls:
Dining
Chicken Guy
Satisfy your hunger with the multitasking celebrity chef Guy Fieri’s delectable fast foods at Chicken Guy, which includes all-natural chicken tenders, skewers, sandwiches, and salads that can be paired with over 20 types of house-made sauces for dipping, slathering, or smothering.
I tried all of the sauces and they are all amazing! I don’t see myself only choosing one next time I go but my “go to” sauce is the Chipotle Ranch sauce. The chipotle peppers, smoked paprika with buttermilk ranch combo is amazing.

The Mac Daddy Mac ‘N’ Cheese is to die for. It’s creamy, cheesy and has that comfort food goodness we all crave.
The Triple Double Mint Flavortown Shake is decadent and that’s an understatement.
Drinks from the array of wine, beer, and premium spirits are complemented by a selection of delicious appetizers, desserts, and other beverages.
It is Hand-spun Mint Chocolate Soft Serve, Crushed Oreo® Cookies, Chocolate Mints, Chocolate Syrup and Fresh Whipped Cream.
If you don’t stop by Chicken Guy, you will regret it!
Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar
Quench your thirst for action at this 1940s airplane hangar turned dive bar—ex-home of Indiana Jones’ sidekick and pilot; Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar
The exotic flavors and creative concoctions of this unique restaurant inspired by Indiana Jones’ intrepid pilot are sure to whet your appetite.
We had appetizers like Air Pirate’s Cargo Loaded Pretzel and Doctor Astorga’s Queso Fundido and they were tasty! But my favorite was the Medjoul Date and Manchego Cheese Flatbread with with frisee, crispy prosciutto, red onion, and balsamic glaze. I’m a sucker for Dates and cheese.
They also offer Signature Libations and draft beers. Happy Hour Wine & Well Drinks, Draft Beer and Specialty Cocktail of the Week is available Monday-Friday, 12pm-3pm). There are also Hangar Bar Specialties like Autumn Smash and Witches Flight.
Coca-Cola Store Rooftop Beverage Bar
We had a blast at Disney Springs and we took a break at the Coca-Cola Store Rooftop Beverage Bar where we had an amazing 360 view of Disney Springs.

We enjoyed some drinks here as well as played around with some selfie shots. It was such a great time and I would recommend this for anyone who’s looking to have fun, especially with their girlfriends.

We tried the Tastes Around the World where you can try up to 16 different beverages from various countries when ordering an International, Float or Combo tray.
Planet Hollywood
In the Marketplace at Disney Springs, Planet Hollywood is a homage to Hollywood restaurant with movie memorabilia takes center stage.
This four-story restaurant has a unique, entertaining, and family-friendly atmosphere! From trying different cocktails to eating the World Famous Chicken Crunch appetizer. It definitely lived up to it’s name but we also had an appetizer that looked like a Ferris wheel. All this while singing along with a giant wrap around screen playing Neil Diamond’s “Sweet Caroline.” I will never forget how much we laughed and sang (and ate).

I had the Sesame Ginger Salmon which was amazing. The house-made cilantro rice was incredible.

You have to try the Super Nova Shakes! We had the Strawberry Big Bang shake with Birthday cake on top!

Of course, you can’t miss all the awesome memorabilia at Planet Hollywood! A must see
Shopping
Bowes Signature Candles
If you’ve ever walked into the Grand Floridian, you surely remember the scent green clover and aloe with a watery green floral permeating the air. You can find this aroma at Bowes Signature Candles.
It’s a part of their Magical Memories Collection and will take you back in time.
Bowes Signature Candles started in 2009 and are now located in Disney Springs Marketplace Co-Op. They produce all of their products in Florida with only the safest and best ingredients.
They offer tons of different products like Candles, Wax Melts, Diffuser Oils, Reed Diffusers, and more. Each product is hand – poured and carefully thought out by owner.

We also made DIY candles, using 3 different scents, mixing and matching to make our very own candle. We had a blast and it was so fun to pick a scent for each person in the group!

Rustic Cuff
Rustic Cuff is a cute shop where you can find inspirational bracelets, handbags, wallets, necklaces and bracelets They create personalized bracelets, beads and bangles right there at the store while you wait.
The story is not about the bracelets, but about the connection that is made between two people in gift giving.
Rustic Cuff’s founder Jill Donovan is a firm believer in designing items that are both useful and beautiful, and she worked to expand the business from a modest leather cuff line into an entire collection that includes exotic skins, creative patterns, and various metals.
This is definitely the place to shop for Holiday presents.
Lululemon

Lululemon, which just opened, is the ideal destination for practical and stylish products like backpacks, gloves, headwear, scarves, water bottles, yoga blocks, and mats.
It has everything you’ll need to get through each day, whether you’re hiking, backpacking, working out or just shopping at Disney Springs!
I currently own quite a few jackets but have never purchased leggings. It always seemed a little overwhelming but the sales person, Shruthie was amazing and found the perfect pair for me.
