Cook your own Authentic Costa Rican Meal at Arenal Vida Campesina
March 21, 2019

This trip was made possible through Il Viaggio Travel and Family Travel Association. However, all opinions are my own. I recently spent six days in Costa Rica enjoying everything the country has to offer through a family focused tour operator called: Costa Rica Family Holidays. We could not have truly enjoyed these beautiful sites without our amazing tour guide Luis Diego Soto from Il Viaggio Travel. We visited many family friendly destinations during our trip to Costa Rica, including Arenal Vida Campesina, a self-sustained, organic, cultural education center. There are many things to do at Arenal Vida Campesina and it makes for a great family destination where all ages will find something to enjoy.  You will learn about the culture and take an educational tour of this beautiful organic …

How to do CityWalk™ and Universal Orlando™ in One Day
March 2, 2019

We knew Universal Orlando Resort.™ was going to be a long day for us considering we had two theme parks and Citywalk™ to check out.  With two boys under five-years-old, we had to have a plan.  We took into consideration a few things: First, it was October and they were having Halloween Horror Nights. Both boys  do not like big, animated characters walking around, especially if they are scary.  So, we knew that we were not going to be participating in that.  Because Universal Studios would be closing early for Halloween Horror Nights, we decided to do that theme park first. We also had to consider where we wanted to eat because we wanted to experience a restaurant in Citywalk™ but knew the kids would be too tired …

How to take a Solo Vacation Guilt Free
February 15, 2019

This is a Sponsored Post.  However, all opinions are my own. How many times do people tell us moms to take a vacation solo? "You need to get away", they say, "have some time to yourself, without the kids." Well, it's easy for them to say but not so easy to do.  So, when I had the opportunity to take a vacation by myself, at first I said yes right away.  But then a little mom-guilt set in.  My boys were asking why they couldn't go.  I had just come back from a press trip to Costa Rica.  I had mom-guilt all the way! We do go on a lot of family trips, like the one where we stayed at the Wyndham Sedona. We go to Disney, …

How to find Hotels and Family Friendly Destinations in Costa Rica
January 28, 2019

This trip was made possible through Il Viaggio Travel and Family Travel Association. However, all opinions are my own. I recently visited Costa Rica and experienced a lot of what the country has to offer using a family focused tour operator. In the past, I may have thought about using my amazing travel expertise and knowledge on where to stay, however, Costa Rica is a country I knew nothing about and bringing my family there without knowing what places would be accessible to us was a little scary.  A "family focused tour operator," specializes in family, so they know what they are talking about. Will you need a stroller? Where do you find formula? Do your children have allergies? Do they have any disabilities? When do they …

5 Accessible Destinations to Visit in Costa Rica
December 24, 2018

This trip was made possible through Il Viaggio Travel and Family Travel Association. However, all opinions are my own. I recently spent six days in Costa Rica enjoying everything the country has to offer through Costa Rica Family Holidays and Family Travel Association. We could not have truly enjoyed these beautiful sites without our amazing tour guide Luis Diego Soto from Il Viaggio Travel. Visiting these amazing locations, I could not help but think about the people in my life that may have passed up an opportunity like this because of their accessibility issues. They may have denied themselves of the experience of a lifetime by assuming that these places were not accessible for them. Everyone should have the right to travel and experience what different …

Wyndham Sedona
November 1, 2018

I received a complimentary stay to facilitate this article.  All opinions are my own. I grew up in the Phoenix area and recently moved back after a 24 year hiatus in Florida.  I've been to Sedona a few times and decided to take my family to see it. When looking for hotels, we gravitate towards family-friendly hotels and have stayed at the Wyndham in Disney Springs and the Wyndham Deerfield Beach Resort, so it was a no-brainer to check out the Wyndham Sedona. Check in is easy.  There are cookies at the front desk.  Need I say more? Rooms Wyndham Sedona offers one-bedroom suites and two-bedroom deluxe suites that comfortably sleep four to eight guests and range from 558 - 1,224 square feet. We had a one-bedroom suite which featured …

Travel Essentials for a Cross Country Road Trip with Kids Under 6
August 3, 2018

I received some of these items complimentary to facilitate this article.  There are also affiliate links in this post.  I only write about products that I like.  All opinions are my own. We had been getting ready for this road trip for a year.  After living in Florida for 24 years, we decided to make a change and move back to Arizona, where I grew up.  Florida has been my home though, a place where I grew up as a person and blossomed into a young woman, got married and had children. As we were preparing for the trip, I realized that I had never been on a road trip longer than a day.  Even a day trip, maybe four hours.  In those situations, you …

Pomo Pizzeria Napoletana Scottsdale
July 25, 2018

Thank you to Pomo Pizzaria for hosting me to facilitate this article. When was the last time you went to an Italian restaurant? I mean a real Italian restaurant. Not a NY style Italian that really serves American food with Italian names. I'm talking about an Italian restaurant where almost the majority of the ingredients come from Italy. And again, not some commercial European business importing low quality Italian olive oil. I mean high-end Italian ingredients sourced for their quality and authenticity, regardless of their cost. So now that I've set the ground rules, I will ask you again… when was the last time you went to an Italian restaurant? The answer for the great majority of you is going to be never. Sure, we’ve all had …

A Staycation at the Wyndham Deerfield Beach Resort Before Our Cross Country Road Trip
June 28, 2018

I received a complimentary stay at the Wyndham Deerfield Beach Resort to facilitate this article.  However, all opinions are my own. We had about three days before we were heading out of Florida.  Florida, my home for the last 24 years was now in the distant past as we were getting ready for a new chapter in our lives in Phoenix, Arizona. I lived in Phoenix once upon a time.  But I "grew up" in Florida.  First Miami Beach, then Midtown, North Miami, Parkland, and finally Deerfield Beach. What better way to start our journey than a staycation!  With all the prepping for the big move, the kids getting out of school, packing, etc., we really needed it.  Who can say no to 33 steps from the …

Hitting up Fort Lauderdale's FATVillage in the New 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport
April 24, 2018

I was given the 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport to facilitate this article.  However, all opinions are my own. There are also affiliate links in this post which means that if you click on something and purchase it, I make commission. I've lived in Florida for 24 years now, half my life!  When I moved to Miami Beach it was the late 90's and I didn't own a car.  I didn't need one. I just rollerbladed to work.  Ahhhhh, to be young and free again. I moved more north when the Miami Design District started to pop up.   I made it to Fort Lauderdale a handful of times.  But I recently went to go see FATVillage.  I had heard about it, that it was a cool art district …

A Day at Butterfly World
April 17, 2018

I was given complimentary tickets to facilitate this article.  However, all opinions are my own. We went to Butterfly World years ago. My first son (Thing 1) and I spent a lot of time there.  It's such a peaceful, pretty place to explore. We went there about once a week for a while and would take our lunch and meet other mommies there too.  It's worth it to get an annual pass if you want to go more than once a year. There's also a park right next to it that's fun for the kids after they are done at  Butterfly World. We purchased the native pupae at Butterfly World in the gift shop.  We waited for the transformation at home. I wanted to take my second son (Thing …

A Day at Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens
April 10, 2018

I received complementary tickets to facilitate this post. However, all opinions are my own. I've never been to Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens but I have heard so many great things about it. Mostly, about the beauty of the gardens.  So, when I took my son, I wasn't surprised at the magnitude of beauty that was there. But I was surprised at my lack of knowledge about the history of Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens coming to be.  It's quite interesting! Driving up Yamato Road, I never thought too much about this street.  I never knew that there was once a Yamato Colony;  Japanese farmers living in present-day northern Boca Raton.  While the pioneering community of Japanese settlers is no longer here in Boca Raton because they …

March 30, 2018

I was given complimentary tickets to facilitate this article. However, all opinions are my own. We had so much fun at the opening night VIP Experience at Disney On Ice presents Reach for the Stars.   This has to be my favorite so far.  It was such a great show. The boys got to meet Mickey and give him a hug.  They played and had sword fights and ran off the sugar that they ate.   And they got this awesome swag bag with Flounder. Disney On Ice Presents Reach for the Stars is in town from March 28 – April 8, at Sunrise BB&T Center and Miami AmericanAirlines Arena. We followed our dreams watching this adventure-filled show including beloved characters from Tangled, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the …

How to Get Ready for a Move 3 Months Early without Destroying your House
March 30, 2018

Nugeni supplied me with product to facilitate this article. This post contains affiliate links which means that if you click on it and purchase something, I will receive commission.  All opinions are my own. So, it's on.  It's on like Donkey Kong.  Yes, I'm that person.  I'm moving back home to be closer to my parents.  It's time for a change and we are ready.  We also look forward to coming back to Florida regularly.  But for now, I'm packing. Yes, it's three months away.  But we have a lot of stuff and I want to do it slowly, while keeping our home here in order.  I don't want to freak out the month before and get totally overwhelmed.  Because, yes, we are doing something crazy and …

Taking on CityPlace in the New Mazda3 Grand Touring 4-Door
March 22, 2018

I was given the NEW Mazda3 Grand Touring 4-door and hosted for lunch at City Cellar to facilitate this article.  However, all opinions are my own. My mom came into town and when she comes into town... we shop.  And we don't just shop.  We shop until we drop.  So, I wanted to take her to a place that we've only been to once together, CityPlace in West Palm Beach. Since then, some new restaurants have popped up and the scenery has changed. We hopped into the NEW Mazda3 Grand Touring 4-door.  It was a treat from driving the SUV I'm always driving with the kids.  This car was fast and so fun to drive. I wouldn't use it as a family car, but my kids did like being in …

Check Out Florida Panthers with the Sahlen's Value Pack
February 6, 2018

This is a Sponsored Post. However; all opinions are my own. It's Hockey Season and my son had a date to see the Florida Panthers with his BFF, Aaron.  We were so excited to hang out with our friends! This time we took advantage of the Sahlen’s Value Pack. It's so nice to left off some steam on a Friday night and hang with friends. My friends are die hard Panthers fans too! The game wouldn't be the same without this guy! We got popcorn and hotdogs but these we couldn't pass up these chocolate covered strawberries!  I think they were the best ones I've ever had! I got to spend much needed friend time with my girl, Jennifer.  It's always a good time at a Florida Panthers Game! The Sahlen’s …
