I received a complimentary stay to facilitate this article.  All opinions are my own.

I grew up in the Phoenix area and recently moved back after a 24 year hiatus in Florida.  I’ve been to Sedona a few times and decided to take my family to see it.

When looking for hotels and resorts, we gravitate towards family-friendly places and have stayed at the Wyndham in Disney Springs and the Wyndham Deerfield Beach Resort, so it was a no-brainer to check out the Wyndham Sedona, a vacation resort rental.

So, we decided to do a review for Club Wyndham Sedona, the most family friendly resort in Sedona. Check in is easy.  There are cookies at the front desk.  Need I say more?

Wyndham Sedona is family friendly, with lots of amenities and offers one-bedroom suites and two-bedroom deluxe suites that comfortably sleep four to eight guests and range from 558 – 1,224 square feet.

We had a one-bedroom suite which featured a private bedroom with one king bed in the master, and a queen sleeper-sofa in the living area.

This was more than enough space for our family. The room even featured a large balcony which provided a great play area for the kids.

The bathroom had a split layout with shower on one side and an amazing whirlpool on the other.

We did not really use the full size kitchen complete with a dishwasher, but it is big enough to cook a Thanksgiving meal! It even had a washer and dryer.  This is so convenient for families like us.

The dining room table was a great thing to have when we brought home dinner one of the nights. It was also a convenient place for the kids to color when it was too cold for the patio.

There is also a pool, sauna, and fitness center. The gym is actually pretty good. You can easily do a full-body workout and there is enough machines and resistance to challenge even an advanced fitness enthusiast.

The Wyndham Sedona offers plenty of activities.  You can pick up the week’s schedule at the front desk. The activities included a jewelry show, ice cream social, beer, wine and chocolate tasting, yoga and much more. There is also a garden in the back of the main building.

It’s a great place to relax, even play a game of ping pong!

I  enjoyed the scenery and watching the birds come and go.  It’s so peaceful.

I really enjoyed sitting in the garden sipping on the delicious (and complimentary) coffee while the kids played.

There is an outdoor swimming pool and hot tub where they also offer yoga. I learned about the yoga too late, but it looked amazing. The view of the mountains is a major bonus too!

scavenger hunt list

The Wyndham Sedona has a scavenger hunt for the kids. You pick up the list from the front desk and you are off to an exciting adventure looking for various items around the property. If you found all the items, you get to take a toy from the treasure box. My youngest picked a small plastic flute… a flute…why? Why Oliver, why did you have to pick the flute…

While we were there, there were two events, the wine and chocolate tasting and the ice cream social. We missed the wine event (my husband was very sad), but made it for the ice cream social and it was a lot of fun. The ice cream was pretty good and the kids LOVED creating their own Sundays!

After filling up on ice cream, the kids played in the play room which comes complete with video game consoles, a pool table, and a foosball table.

There is a library where you can rent movies, games, use the computer, or read.

garden with colorful pots of plants

My favorite area of the Wyndham Sedona is the herb garden created by the guest service manager, Rachel Goicoa.

The herbs are not just there to decorate. You can stop by Guest Services for pruning shears, a bag to collect the herbs, and directions to where the herbs are located on the property.

Sedona really has our heart and we can’t wait to go back!

Club Wynham Sedona has so much to offer families and vacationers.  There are so many things to do in Sedona like visit the stunning national monuments, State parks, heritage museums, and charming shops.

A concierge at the Wyndham can help you with anything you need to know about where to go in Sedona.  We went to some amazing restaurants too while we were there, that were just a hop, skip, and a jump away from the Wyndham Sedona. Club Wyndham is the vacation ownership club that manages the resort.

Some things to do in Sedona are hiking and exploring the red rock. We loved Oak Creek Canyon.

The weather is amazing.  Now’s the time to check out Wyndham Sedona. Wyndham Extra Holidays has fall deals available now of up to 25 percent off for resorts across the U.S. Book now at or call 800-670-3620 and mention code Fall18. Book by November 18, 2018. Travel by November 19, 2018. Enjoy!
