After spending 24 years in Florida, I returned to the Phoenix area and took my family to explore Sedona.
When looking for hotels and resorts, we gravitate towards family-friendly places, so it was a no-brainer to check out the Wyndham Sedona, a vacation resort rental.
Club Wyndham Sedona worked well for our family. Check in was easy during our visit, and cookies at the front desk were a sweet bonus!
Suites at the Wyndham Sedona
Club Wyndham Sedona offers several one and two bedroom suite options. Check the specific room category for its guest capacity, kitchen setup, and amenities before booking.
We had a one-bedroom suite that featured a private bedroom with one king bed in the master, and a queen sleeper sofa in the living area.
This was more than enough space for our family. The room even featured a large balcony which provided a great play area for the kids.
The bathroom had a split layout with shower on one side and an amazing whirlpool on the other.
Note: Not all suites have whirlpool tubs. Check your room category before booking.
Amenities at Club Wyndham Sedona
We did not really use the full-size kitchen complete with a dishwasher, but it is big enough to cook a Thanksgiving meal! It even had a washer and dryer. This is so convenient for families like us.
The dining room table was a great thing to have when we brought home dinner one of the nights. It was also a convenient place for the kids to color when it was too cold for the patio.
There is also a pool, sauna, and fitness center. The gym is actually pretty good. You can easily do a full-body workout and there are enough machines and resistance to challenge even an advanced fitness enthusiast.
Activities at Club Wyndham Sedona
The Wyndham Sedona offers plenty of activities. During our visit, the activities included a jewelry show, an ice cream social, beer, wine, and chocolate tasting, yoga, and much more. Ask the front desk for the current activity schedule, as offerings may change.
There is also a garden at the back of the main building where we played ping pong.
I enjoyed the scenery and watching the birds come and go. It was so peaceful. And we got to pick our own herbs!
I really enjoyed sitting in the garden sipping on the delicious (and complimentary) coffee while the kids played.
During our stay, yoga was offered beside the outdoor pool and hot tub. I learned about yoga too late, but it looked amazing. The view of the mountains is a major bonus too!
During our visit, the kids picked up a scavenger hunt list at the front desk and explored the property. If you found all the items, you get to take a toy from the treasure box. My youngest picked a small plastic flute… a flute…why? Why Oliver, why did you have to pick the flute…
While we were there, there were two events, the wine and chocolate tasting and the ice cream social. We missed the wine event (my husband was very sad), but made it for the ice cream social and it was a lot of fun. The ice cream was pretty good and the kids LOVED creating their own sundaes!
After filling up on ice cream, the kids played in the playroom which had video game consoles, a pool table, and a foosball table.
There is a library where you can rent movies, and games, use the computer, or read.
My favorite area of the Wyndham Sedona is the herb garden created by the guest service manager, Rachel Goicoa.
During our visit, Guest Services provided pruning shears, a collection bag, and directions to the herbs growing around the property.
Sedona really has our hearts and we can’t wait to go back!
Club Wyndham Sedona has so much to offer families and vacationers.
There are so many things to do in Sedona like visit the stunning national monuments, State parks, heritage museums, and charming shops.
A concierge at Wyndham can help you with anything you need to know about where to go in Sedona. We went to some amazing restaurants too while we were there, that were just a hop, skip, and a jump away from the Wyndham Sedona. Club Wyndham is the vacation ownership club that manages the resort.
Some things to do in Sedona are hiking and exploring the red rock. We loved Oak Creek Canyon.
