Dine in an Igloo at the Hilton Sedona Resort At Bell Rock
May 10, 2021

If you told me a year ago that I would be in Sedona this time this year, I'd say, "of course I will be!" I visit the 'Spiritual Mecca of the Southwest’ often. It's my escape from the hustle and bustle of Phoenix. But if you told me that I would be dining in an igloo, I'd probably laugh. First of all because we live in the desert and second, why? Until I visited Hilton Sedona Resort At Bell Rock, I didn't really understand the concept of dining in an igloo. Sedona’s only full-service spa and an 18-hole golf resort is set amidst the spectacular beauty of the magnificent red rock formations surrounding Sedona. The igloo adds the magical, romantic feeling to the resort. But in fact, …

Find some Serenity at Club Wyndham Sedona
March 1, 2021

I grew up in the Phoenix area and recently moved back after a 24 year hiatus in Florida.  I've been to Sedona a few times and decided to take my family to see it. When looking for hotels and resorts, we gravitate towards family-friendly places and have stayed at the Wyndham in Disney Springs and the Wyndham Deerfield Beach Resort, so it was a no-brainer to check out the Wyndham Sedona, a vacation resort rental.   So, we decided to do a review for Club Wyndham Sedona, the most family friendly resort in Sedona. Check in is easy.  There are cookies at the front desk.  Need I say more? Suites Wyndham Sedona is family friendly, with lots of amenities and offers one-bedroom suites and two-bedroom deluxe suites that comfortably …

Bearizona Wildlife Park
February 16, 2021

The pandemic really has us spinning last year. We are a family that loves to travel and our traveling was cut short because of Covid-19. Even though we did some traveling while remote learning, we still didn't do our usual zoo visits, play dates and theme parks. We mostly focused on backyard activities and having road trips within Arizona, like Sedona and Flagstaff. My favorite place to stay in Sedona is Sky Ranch Lodge. If you're looking for a family vacation rental, you may want to try Wyndham Sedona. There are lots of things to do in Flagstaff also. l Just a hop, skip, and a jump away from Sedona and Flagstaff is the best drive thru Wildlife Park in Arizona, Bearizona. A drive …

Budget Friendly Things to do in Flagstaff, Arizona with the Family
January 23, 2021

Thank you to Wyndham, Flagstaff for hosting us. All opinions are my own. We recently went to Flagstaff, Arizona with the boys.  They were so excited to play in the snow but other than that, we weren't sure what kind of activities we were going to do but we wanted to discover Flagstaff.  Because of the weather, we had to prepare a bit. It's amazing that you can go from wearing a tee shirt in Phoenix to snow boots and winter clothes in just 2 hours. This is a great reason to live in Arizona. The weather in different areas is so versatile. There are so many things to do in Arizona. Just up the road and only 85 miles away …

Visit Sky Ranch Lodge in Sedona for Amazing Views
January 8, 2021

Sedona is one of my favorite getaways. The red rock and vortexes keep me coming back. There's also so many things to do in Sedona. If you are looking for a unique, rustic experience on your Sedona getaway, Sky Ranch Lodge will offer an experience you will not only never forget but leave you aching to go back. It is the best boutique hotel in Sedona. I went there twice last month and it was such a treat! The first getaway was a spur of the moment getaway; a wellness trip. I really wanted to relax and hang out in Sedona. I just needed a break after being on a Covid-19 lock down. Little did I know that I would …

January 7, 2021

I grew up in Arizona but had never heard of Heber Overgaard.  Now that I have moved back, there is so much I want to explore.  I've been back to Sedona and checked out some local places.  I get up to Prescott often which has an elevation of 5367 feet, but Heber Overgaard has an elevation of 6,627 feet: that means 40 degrees in May! There is so much to do in Heber Overgaard and you don't have to go far. From fishing to horseback riding and dining.  It's an awesome place to visit.  Here are the best things to do in Heber Overgaard: Worldmark Bison Ranch Resort We stayed at Worldmark Bison Ranch in Heber-Overgaard. It's a cute recreated Old West town from the 1800s, located …

Traveling During Covid while Remote Learning
January 4, 2021

Sometimes all you need is a change of scenery when things seem to be so heavy, like the state of the world. Remote learning is not my forte, but I do what I need to do. It's got to get done! We are not a family that sits still. We love family travel like taking road trips and discovering new places. So, when we stayed in Heber Overgaard, we drove to Pinetop to eat lunch and decided we needed to go back. This time would be different though. Traveling during Covid takes careful thought. We are in the middle of a pandemic where traveling is less appealing to some, but with the right tools, we make it happen. We …

Why I Took a Vacation During a Pandemic
September 17, 2020

Nothing like this could have ever been planned.  I've stayed home during the Covid-19 pandemic as instructed with my family. Recently, with the Covid-19 outbreak has caused so much fear and stress. Mental health during the Covid-19 Pandemic is a topic that most people avoid but I found myself jumping on the crazy train. I took my family hostage with me on the train while in quarantine. Isolating while staying home has taken me to a place where my mental health has declined. This virus nicknamed the Corona virus has taken over our lives. Staying home is not my cup of tea but I have listened and obeyed the rules for the sake of my family and others. Everyone reacts differently …
