This summer has been quite different from other summers in regards to outdoor activities. We are basically staying home due to Covid-19, but it hasn’t stopped us from getting creative outside. We have to go outside, even when it’s hot. We need the exercise and it keeps our minds active. These last few months have tested us so we have to come up with fun things to do like a DIY obstacle course.

This was our first DIY obstacle course and since we are keeping to ourselves, the boys did it together. Later, we can do it again with our friends.

We made six stations and used a few items to facilitate the obstacle course.

What you’ll need:

The best thing about this activity is that it builds confidence in kids and teaches them resilience.

You can set it up easily, it just takes 5 minutes and you can do this anytime!

Station 1: Leap Frog Potato Sacks

The kids enjoyed jumping in the Leap Frog Potato Sacks. These are also great for parties.

Station 2: 10 Jumping Jacks

10 Jumping jacks are a great way to warm up.

Station 3: Inflatable Obstacle Course

This is super fun because the kids often topple over. It’s a great activity for a party.

Station 6: Scoot!

We love our Razor Kick scooters, not to mention they are really affordable and fold up easily for on the go.

The boys beamed when they completed the obstacle course.

They both received a winners medallion!
