Summer Sizzlin’ With Tessemae’s
Blog - July 4, 2016

This is a sponsored post. I am being compensated by Tessemae’s for my participation in this campaign as part of the Mom It Forward Blogger Network.

I love a good lettuce wrap!  They are so fresh and fun to eat for the summer.  Here in Florida it’s a nice treat on a hot day, and it’s healthy!  Just grab a head of iceberg lettuce (or a lettuce with some nutritional value) and add your favorite protein (I do lean turkey), chopped scallions, shredded carrots, sliced sweet peppers, and avocado (don’t worry about the proportions on these).  The best part of eating lettuce wraps is the dressings…

Condiments are typically not always healthy.  In fact, they can be so unhealthy, packed with salt, sugar, preservatives, and  high fructose corn syrup that it defeats the purpose of making a healthy wrap for lunch or dinner.  I like to eat clean as much as possible, but it can be a challenge as most tasty condiments come with these unhealthy ingredients.

Try the healthy Tessemae’s Savor Summer Whole30 Grill Pack.  It is perfect for outdoor grilling, or cooking in the kitchen.  It includes Ketchup, Lemon Chesapeake, Yellow Mustard, Matty’s BBQ, Hot Buffalo Sauce, and Mayonnaise.  I enjoyed the Lemon Chesapeake, Hot Buffalo Sauce, and Matty’s BBQ for my Avocado Lettuce Wraps! These condiments and sauces use real, whole sourced food ingredients, and are certified USDA organic.  I used them as dipping sauces; my favorite: Matty’s BBQ.  Matty must like sauces with a kick because this one has a bit of a bite.  I also use them as marinades for baked salmon or chicken.  I would definitely suggest putting all of them on the picnic table for your Fourth of July barbecue.  I guarantee they will all be gone by the time the fireworks start…

  1. Those lettuce wraps look delicious, and that means a lot coming from someone who is a serious tortilla eater. Thanks for the recipe.
