The New Year is coming. and I’ve been thinking about change. I have many exciting changes ahead of me this year, including a big move to Arizona. With that said, I need to be aware of my wellbeing. Moving can be stressful. I’ve sort of let myself go at the end of this year for many reasons. I find myself grabbing a bag of chips for a snack rather than my usual granola and yogurt. Or I forget to remove my makeup at night. I’ve cut down on getting my pedicures because I’m working too much. I still have a gift card that my husband bought for me three years ago on Mother’s Day for Massage Envy. I’ve cut down on my water intake. I’ve stopped going to the gym. I skip using my organic sunblock as I’m rushing out the door to get the kids to school. I’ve simply just stopped taking care of myself.
This year there are going to be changes. But I’m done with the empty New Year’s resolutions that last for a week. You know what I’m talking about. We’ve all done it. Promises, promises, promises. Some unrealistic and some realistic but the will is just not there. So this year is going to be different for me. It’s not a New Year’s resolution but a full year’s resolution to stay well all year. I’m going to get to the gym every week without giving myself unrealistic expectations. I’m going to go back to eating clean. I’m going to meditate more and live in the moment more. I’m going to put healthy, natural stuff into my body again. This is including organic skincare. I’m going to take care of myself.
I found a site that can get me started. It’s a site where you can find products that are good for your body and soul, naturally! They carry amazing natural products crafted by passionate indie brands deeply committed to improving your health and the environment. I’d say purchasing from these brands is also a good start to the New Year. I love supporting businesses that care about the environment. I don’t need to shop on different sites to find my organic skincare, my body products, my gifts, and supplements. They are all in front of me at Navago.com.

Warrior Stick ($20) by Herbal Heart Apothecary
Chasing after my two boys, ages 3 and 6, I’m always getting banged up! We have an active lifestyle. For instance, last Christmas they asked me to chase them on the hills and as I was running in flip flops, I tripped, fell and broke my pinky finger. I had survived 45 years so far without any broken bones. It was quite the site. I had grass in my glasses and a black eye. I was laughing then and I’m still laughing but seriously, I could have used the Warrior Stick after that fall!
The Warrior Stick promotes balance (and by balance, I don’t mean not tripping over myself, lol.) But it is perfect for an active lifestyle.

Gabriel’s Light Holistic Health, Roll Ons ($23 each)
Sometimes as a mother, I just need to stop and breath. It’s my time out. I love aromatherapy and it goes hand in hand with the breathing for me. I tried the Anxiety Release Roll-On. by Gabriel’s Light Holistic Health Roll Ons. It uplifts my spirit, and I feel better emotionally and physically as soon as it hits my senses.
I have a lot of nervous energy sometimes, related to work or the kids. I just need a little pep in my step and I get it from this amazing roll on. I’m totally hooked. It’s 100% pure therapeutic grade essential oils.
Did I say I was a mom, hehe? Being a mom is everything to me. It’s my whole being. I was pretty blessed to have two kids in my 40’s but the universe was laughing when it gave me two rambunctious boys. They keep me on my toes! I’m exhausted. So, the ECO Aroma Energy Roller Ball is amazing when I need a boost. It lifts my spirits. Gives me the pep I need to keep up with my boys, hehe. Now I just need the Essential Oil Rollerball – Sleep for myself and my kids. Okay, really just for the kids, hehe.
ECO. Modern Essentials are the specialists in natural and organic oil formulations for face, body and wellbeing. The ECO. brand is all about supporting women who want to look after themselves with natural, local and organic products.
I love candles. Like I said, aromatherapy is important to me and can really change up my moods. Hip & Chick Organiks makes natural, organic, nontoxic, body products and soy candles. They are a mother/daughter duo who both share the same love for healthy, natural body products that smell amazing. Their scrubs, body washes and lotions sound delicious. I want it all!
They sent me Eau d’Hiker Soy Candle ($28), a masculine but unisex aroma that’s perfect for this time of year. It’s a clean sent with top notes of bay leaf and fir mingle with cedarwood and crisp bergamot. The warm tobacco base is what gives it the masculine scent.
It turns into a warm tobacco base making Eau D’Hiker a clean slightly masculine but unisex aroma with well-balanced natural notes. All the candles are non-toxic, burning time of 45+ hours and are packaged in a reusable glass tumbler.
Skinveda’s Ayurvedic Body Sculpting Crème ($68)
I was in the luxury skincare business for years. I’ve used everything, and I mean everything. I’ve seen women spend thousands on their skin and yet, they were never satisfied. I live in Boca Raton, Florida, where plastic surgery is prevalent, but I believe in aging gracefully. Yes, I was blessed with good genes, but ultimately, it’s about balance. The best-looking skin is hydrated skin. I use organic sunblock, which I believe is the first step in preventing damage.
Skinveda also believes in balance. It is a performance based, and green skincare brand based on the philosophy that: “Our skin reflects a need for BALANCE in our lives”. Their products are made in small batches, with Fair trade ingredients, Ayurvedic, Vegan, Cruelty free and Gluten free.
I tried the Ayurvedic Body Sculpting Crème ($68) which helps with stretch marks and cellulite (or subcutaneous fatty tissue) by selective shedding of adipocytes, increase in ATP and reduction of inflammation while helping smooth out loose skin. The key herb is Santalbic acid-Extracted from the seeds of sandalwood tree. It has shown to increase cellular detoxification, improve skin elasticity and very effective against cellulite. My skin felt instantly healed when I applied it. I found that very little went a long way where as I tend to overdo most body creams or lotions. I use a lot of products with shea butter because my skin is so dry and was reluctant when I saw the consistency. But I was pleasantly surprised at how little I needed for my skin to feel hydrated.
So, after reviewing these products, I think it’s safe to say that I have beat the New Year resolution period by already starting to fulfill my promise to myself by taking better care of myself.
Navago has me covered and I don’t have to search on multiple sites. It’s all in one place.
What are you planning to change for the upcoming year of 2018?
