2015-05-06 10.55.02I was really excited to be able to try something that I have been curious about for a while.  I love makeup and I love trying new things.  So I was happy to try out Mommy Makeup.

When I checked out her website, I totally connected with Debra Rubin-Roberts, the founder of Mommy Makeup.  I knew where she was coming from with her ideas of what life is like after having a child.  Who has time to put a bunch of products on her face when you have to change diapers and get your kids to school?  Being a makeup artist, I had all those products but I found myself going old school and using lipstick for blush and foundation for eyeshadow primer and concealer.  I have a makeup planner in my bedroom, a makeup planner in my car and a makeup bag in the downstairs bathroom along with a makeup bag in my purse.  I don’t have time to run around looking for my lipstick when I’m chasing kids, so it’s easier to have it in four places!  But seriously, when I’m running out the door I grab my little makeup bag that has a few mini sizes of blush, primer, ect.  So I’m all for simplifying and using one product for the main necessities (eyes, cheeks, and lips).2015-05-05 17.36.07

I decided to try the Anna Anywhere Wear Creme which came with the Creme Definer Brush.  I think this was a great choice for me as I tend to go for the no-makeup look.  Anna Anywhere Wear Creme is a beigy rose matte formula.  As you can see in the top left picture, it’s a neutral color.  It definitely gave me that natural look that I wanted.  However, if used as a lipstick it needs to definitely be paired with a lip liner.  It was very pale on me.  I would of liked a little more rose in the formula.  But it is that “nude” lipstick everyone is looking for.  With that being said, I definitely could work with all the colors!  The consistency is nice and very easy to apply.  I applied it with the Definer Brush and then blended right away with my fingers.
