The Minions, a spin-off of Despicable Me, will follow the character’s journey to becoming one of the most loved cartoon villains in recent years. The coming Minions: The Rise of Gru film will showcase how the figure rose to be so terrible.
An all-new trailer for the film has arrived, teasing the hilarious misadventures Gru got up to in his early years while likely providing further insight into his link with his loyal Minions.
The Minions: The Rise of Gru” Cast is Huge
This new movie features actors such as Taraji P. Henson, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Lucy Lawless, Danny Trejo, and Dolph Lundgren among many others.
Stuart, Bob, and other Minions will be voiced by Pierre Coffin. Bill Hader will return as Kevin. Steve Carell’s voice role as Gru and Pierre Coffin as the voices of Kevin, Stuart, Bob.
The World’s Greatest Supervillain is Back
Fans of the Despicable Me franchise will be happy to see that Gru is back and up to his old antics.
Whether he’s stealing the moon or just trying to get his minions to do his bidding. Gru is a force to be reckoned with.
And, as always, the Minions are there to help him (whether they want to or not).
The First Missions
In 1970s American suburbia, Gru (Oscar nominee Steve Carell) is simply a 12-year-old kid who wants to conquer the world from his basement. It’s not going particularly well.
When the Minions, including Kevin, Stuart, Bob, and Otto — a new Minion with braces who wants to please but can’t seem to get it right — encounter Gru, this unlikely family reunites.
They set out to start their first hideout, create their first weapons, and complete their first missions.
Even The Bad Guys Need Help from their Friends
Gru’s going to face challenges he never dreamed of when he recruits a super-villain team to pull off the biggest heist in history: stealing the moon. (Yes, you read that right.)
To do this, they’ll need the help of their longtime friends the Minions. These little yellow henchmen have always been there for Gru. But this time, they may be the key to his success.
So, get ready for more laughs and more mayhem when Minions: The Rise of Gru will be released in theaters on July 1st, 2021.
