My Review

This beautifully written book is perfect for beginners or anyone getting reacquainted with the practice of meditation. It explains in a very simple manner how to overcome obstacles such as monkey mind. It set my mind at ease reiterating the concerns I had and offering solutions in a gentle manner. It taught me that my opponent is craving and sloth. This book gives me permission to explore and accept what’s happening, allowing myself to walk through the process, observing and labeling my thoughts. I love the counting technique and the Gatha Poem is so simple.
It is jam packed with awesome information on mediation, dealing with forgiveness, and even Yoga. I love the 28 day mediation plans and the mini meditation retreat. I will definitely keep this book close by, use it again and recommend it to anyone interested in meditation.
