I’ve been using Kiehl’s since I was in high school. That’s a long time ago….I don’t want to date myself but I’m talking about 30 years ago. What!!!! Yes, they’ve been around a long time, since 1851! I never thought back then that Kiehl’s would help me with my antiaging concerns. I didn’t have a wrinkle to care about, or a care in the world!
So, it started in high school with the Lip Balm #1 in a pot and then the obsession began when I was working at Saks Fifth Ave in the cosmetics department. How funny is that? I spent a lot of time at the Kiehl’s counter and got to sample so much. That’s another thing, Kiehl’s is very generous with their sampling program. And being in the business, I came across a lot of people who didn’t want to spend their money until they have tried the product. Kiehl’s always pulls through with the samples…and more.
My favorite product is the Powerful-Strength Line-Reducing Concentrate which I have been using for at least 10 years (it came out in 2005). I didn’t think it could get any better until I tried the new formula. It is their bestselling serum! I love it as a primer because I watch the crow’s feet and expression lines disappear as I apply it. Yes, it shows immediate results and that’s what I want, especially at age 47.
The new formula has more Vitamin C (12.5%) which when applied topically is known to help diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while visibly improving skin’s radiance and texture. Then they added my very good friend Hyalruonic Acid which acts like a sponge by drawing moisture in to skin’s surface layers and expanding as it absorbs. This also helps visibly reduce wrinkle skin texture and radiance. Now, I can skip that step all together because I have it in the Powerful-Strength Line-Reducing Concentrate.
NEW AND IMPROVED FORMULA VS. THE ORIGINAL
To demonstrate the power of our new Powerful-Strength Line-Reducing Concentrate, they put it to the test in a clinical study against our original formula. The new formula outperformed the original for a number of attributes:
- After 2 weeks of using the product, the new formula outperformed the original in the reduction of the appearance of facial lines
- After 4 weeks of using the product, the new formula outperformed the original in the improved appearance of skin texture
- After 8 weeks of using the product, the new formula outperformed the original in the appearance of forehead wrinkles
“Our renovated formula, now with Hyaluronic Acid and a greater amount of Vitamin C, provides faster, better results,” says Dr. Geoff Genesky, Scientific Director at Kiehl’s. “While Vitamin C is difficult to stabilize within a formula, the team worked meticulously to stabilize even more Vitamin C and deliver our most efficacious Powerful-Strength Line-Reducing Concentrate formula to date.”
Powerful-Strength Line-Reducing Concentrate is also new favorite of celebrity makeup artists. Kelsey Deenihan used the formula to prep Allison Williams’ skin for the Golden Globes and SAG awards, and Tina Turnbow also used the formula for Taylor Schilling for Sunday’s SAGs.
Celebrity makeup artists Mai Quynh and Jo Baker also love the formula:
“Love this NEW Vitamin C serum from Kiehl’s. It works beautifully under makeup while keeping skin soft and supple. I love using this treatment as a primer because it makes skin feel smooth without being too slippery,” said Mai Quynh.
And, from Jo Baker: “On first application of Powerful Strength Line Reducing Concentrate, I distinctly remember the subtle zesty citrus scent. Instantly uplifting and awakens the senses. Then comes the texture of the formula. Lightweight at first, then warms gently to a richer consistency with a radiant glow on absorption ! I love it!! After only 3 days the texture of my skins surface felt smoother and dramatically softer to touch. My makeup base even glides on with less blending effort.”
