Juice Beauty
Makeup & Beauty - April 14, 2016

I’ve worked for some amazing skincare and makeup lines.  I never had any issues with allergies or reactions until I turned forty.  Was it the hormones?  Was it the chemicals in the cosmetics?  The synthetic fragrance in the skincare?  Who knows.

All I know is that after research and testing, organic makeup suits me much better.  Just as I don’t want chemicals on my fruits and vegetables, I prefer not to add chemicals in my skin, which is the largest organ in the body.  I try to do as much organic as I can.

So I wanted to try something from Juice Beauty.  After all, Gwyneth Paltrow is the creative director and her skin is flawless and always glowing.  I’d try anything from them but I love lip crayons because they are simple and easy to use.  I tried the Phyto-Pigments Luminous Lip Crayon in 20 Pebble.
As stated on their website:

A unique blend of plant-derived Phyto-Pigments with replenishing emollients to keep lips soft with a smooth, creamy texture and a lightweight feel. Combining the convenience of a pencil with the application of a lipstick in a jumbo-sized crayon design, these pigment-rich sticks provide beautiful, subtle shine and comfortable wear. Contains the Juice Beauty exclusive Moisture Plant Blend (vegetable glycerin, jojoba & phospholipids) to increase skin hydration and the Juice Beauty Phyto-Pigments exclusive blend of rose, eggplant, moringa and eclipta daisy.

This lip crayon is so hydrating, it feels like a cashmere sweater on the lips.  It’s moisturizing and soft but enough pigment to pop.  Although moisturizing, it isn’t glossy.  It’s got the perfect balance of color and texture on the lips.  If the rest of their makeup and skincare feels like this, then sign me up!  I will always love vegan and cruelty free.  It’s the new standard these days.

  1. Ooh it sounds fabulous and looks amazing!! I have never heard of this brand but I will have to check it out!

  2. I have always had reactions to make up. I can’t even wear the hypoallergenic lines. I would love to find some eye shadow that I could wear. But so far it’s a no go for me. If you come across something please let me know.

  3. This lip crayon sounds amazing! I love that it’s an all natural look while still adding a little color and pop! 🙂

  4. Lip crayon? This is a new one for me. I admit I am a little bit behind the times, but this is really something I would like to try.
