How To Make Rainbow Pretzel Goody Bags With 3 Ingredients
Blog - September 30, 2016

Fifth Birthdays are a big deal around here.  We are going to LEGOLAND and Disney.  My mother flew out for the big day also.  So you can imagine how important it was to my son, Henri.

But the first celebration starts at school.  We had cupcakes and goodie bags.  However, I really don’t like putting candy in goody bags.  Kids are so used to getting candy and I wanted to do something different.  Being  the over ambitious mother that I am, I thought I would do two goody bags.  I made one with left over toys from previous parties and one with rainbow pretzels.

You have to think quick when you have a small class of mostly girls.  At the same time you want to please the boys.

Who doesn’t like chocolate covered pretzels with sprinkles?  I made these with stuff I purchased on sale at AldiAldi has the best deals!  When the sprinkles go on sale, you can get them for .25 cents a jar!  I also got the Vanilla Almond Bark and the rainbow goody bags on sale.

The recipe is simple.

Vanilla Almond Bark

Rainbow Sprinkles

Mini Pretzels

Put the Almond Bark in the microwave and heat up for about a minute.  Let it stay lumpy and mix it until it melts.  You don’t want to burn it and that’s easy to do in the microwave.

Dip the pretzels in the Almond Bark and immediately dip them in a bowel of sprinkles.   Lay them flat on a baking pan lined with foil or wax paper.  Put in freezer for five minutes.

Take them out and lay them on a plate.

Fill up the rainbow goody bags with about 5-6 pretzels and tie them.

These were a big hit with his classmates.

Then we were off to the park for a Birthday play date followed by a family party at the house with cheesecake.

Yes, this family loves Birthdays! lol.

  1. What a Clever Idea! My mind is racing! We are having a Baby shower for my Granddaughter who is having a Baby Girl. This would be a cute idea for the shower only in pink and maybe lilac using pink and white bags! Thank you for sharing I love this idea. I am pinning this to my Board!

  2. This is such a fun and smart idea, I love it! The sprinkles are such a festive touch, I bet you could even do Halloween and Christmas ones by switching the colors! 🙂 Thank you so much for sharing!

  3. I like that you used items from previous parties for the goody bags! I still have lots of goody bag stuff from when my kids were younger that I still use when I have little guests.

  4. I love this idea because it’s easy to do and it’s also not expensive at all. These goodie bags are perfect for kids’ parties or as giveaways to kids at school whenever there’s an occasion. They’re going to love getting these for sure.

  5. I am just loving it right away. Such an easy stuff to do using 3 ingredients and the final output of rainbow goody bags looks absolutely amazing. Kids are going to love it!
