How to be Prepared and Stay Safer When Driving
Blog - July 15, 2019

This is a Sponsored Post for Sabre; however, all opinions are my own.

Life is full of surprises.  I didn’t expect to get married and have babies at 42 years-old.  I didn’t expect to graduate with a Criminal Justice degree at 40 years-old.  When I became a mother, my protective instincts kicked in.  So now, my life is full and most of my days are filled with driving, whether it’s to drop kids off at camp, or take them to a play date.  We are busy and we are always in the car.

I really want to make sure that everyone feels safer, including myself.  I am not that strong, although I do hit the gym once in a while.  So I do often wonder, “what if?”

What if one of us was locked in the car?

What if someone tried to attack us?

How would I get out of a threatening situation?

I never thought about personal safety products like pepper spray because I was  afraid that I would set it off at the wrong time.  But I tried SABRE Red Safe Escape 3-in-1 Automotive Tool, which is not a spray but a gel, so it is safer because it doesn’t atomize like traditional pepper spray .

We have been doing lots of road trips this summer and a lot of the places and new to us.  This uncertainty is even more reason for me to carry a self-defense spray.  How do you protect yourself?
