Henry’s Classic American Cuisine Does Thanksgiving Dinner To Go
Recipes - November 18, 2017

This is a Sponsored Post for Henry’s.  However;  all opinions are my own.

Henry’s, located in West Delray, was completely packed when I walked in one hour before closing on Thursday.   There was no sign of slowing down. We were greeted by their general manager, Cindy, who made me feel like I was family right away.  The crowd was upscale, and I could tell that most of the people were regulars.

I had always been intrigued by this restaurant because of the decor.  It’s very sophisticated, but modern and inviting at the same time.  They serve classic, yet elevated American cuisine where you can find something for everyone which makes a great place for the whole family. Even at eight o’clock at night, kids were busting out the front door. Henry’s also offers a kids eat free deal seven days a week! (1 free kids meal with any adult entrée purchase).

Henry’s opened on Thanksgiving last year for the first time and it was a big success. So, they decided to open again this year and they are already booked with 500 reservations! They are expecting it to be the busiest night they have had in 16 years of being open. Not only will they serve Thanksgiving Lunch/Dinner from 2-7 p.m, they are offering a three-course prix fixe menu for $42 per person. Guests have their choice from four starters including the seasonal Butternut Squash Bisque and three entrees including the traditional Slow-roasted Turkey plate. They will end their meal with a slice of pumpkin pie, pecan pie or apple strudel.

They also have a Complete Thanksgiving Dinner To-Go available in two sizes. The dinner for 4-6 people – which includes one and a half quarts of soup or salad choice, three pounds of turkey, one and a half quarts of each side, one pint of cranberry relish, one quart of gravy and one dessert – costs $160. For up to 12 people – comprising three quarts of soup or salad choice, six pounds of turkey, three quarts of each side, one quart of cranberry relish, two quarts of gravy and one dessert – is $275. A la carte add-ons are also available.

They have daily specials.  The most popular day is Monday (the bar is hopping so get there early or make reservations) when they serve Southern Fried Chicken.  Another favorite is the Crispy Long Island Duckling.  Every Thursday they offer Thanksgiving Dinner.  How cool is that?  Thanksgiving is not limited to one day out of the year at Henry’s!

So, I tried the Thanksgiving dinner with roasted turkey, whipped red bliss potatoes, whipped sweet potato, sage gravy, cranberry relish, and sauteed vegetables.  It was delicious.

It was everything you would expect from a Thanksgiving Dinner; and more.

I ALWAYS look forward to dessert.  I have a huge sweet tooth.  Henry’s did not disappoint and set a standard for their menu when I tried the Apple Cobbler. It is the best Apple Cobbler I have ever had, and I’ve been thinking about it ever since.  I would go as far as to say that I would drive twenty minutes just to go and get it and bring it home.  It’s big enough for two people, maybe three, but if you dine with me, chances are you will get the shorter end of the stick.  I’m fast.  The crust was decadent, and the caramel drizzled on top of the vanilla ice cream is what will put you over the edge.  I have also heard that they serve a mean six layer-carrot cake that serves up to twenty people.  Just kidding, but it’s huge.  So, unlike the apple cobbler, I might be able to share it.

If you are looking for amazing service and great American comfort food, you will find it at Henry’s. Executive Chef Dan Moore brings an ethnically diverse spin to his creations and I can’t wait to go back to check out the new menu items that launched for the season.

So, if you can’t make it for Thanksgiving, you can always eat Thanksgiving on any given Thursday at Henry’s. If you prefer the comfort of your own home, you can place a to-go order and enjoy Henry’s’ amazing Thanksgiving dinner at home. All orders must be placed by Monday, Nov. 20, at 2 p.m. Pickup will be at Henry’s on Jog Rd. just south of Linton Blvd. on Wednesday, Nov. 22 from 2-5p.m. and Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 23 from 11am-2pm. To place your order, call them at 561.826.1790.

  1. I don’t live anywhere near Florida, but it makes me want to go there just to eat a wonderful dinner like the pictures above! I like the big portions and that a child eats free when accompanied by a paid adult! I have some friends that live in Florida. I don’t know if they live near Henry’s, but I’m going to ask if they’ve heard of this place.
