Now we have the sequel, the new Sonic The Hedgehog 2, which was widely praised by critics and fans alike. It stars James Marsden, and Ben Schwartz, as the voice of Sonic (the main character), Tika Sumpter, Natasha Rothwell, Adam Pally, and Lee Majdoub,. Jim Carrey plays the evil Dr. Robotnic.
There are new additions to the cast like Shemar Moore, with Idris Elba as the voice of Knuckles and Colleen O’Shaughnessey as the voice of Tails.
The Movie – Sonic the Hedgehog 2
This live-action adventure comedy shows the blue hedgehog whose unique power is racing at supersonic speed to attain world domination. We are looking forward to seeing what Sonic the Hedgehog’s next adventure is. This makes for a great movie for the whole family and kids of all ages.
After settling in Green Hills, this blue anthropomorphic hedgehog is eager to show that he has what it takes to be a real hero.
The film follows Sonic (voiced by Schwartz) teaming up with the local town sheriff (Sonic’s new best friend), Tom Wachowski (Marsden) to stop the sinister mad scientist, Dr. Robotnik (Carrey).
Dr. Robotnik returns, and the evil genius, brings a new partner, Knuckles, in search of an emerald with the power to destroy civilizations.
Sonic teams up with his sidekick, Tails. He goes on a globe-trotting quest to find the emerald before someone else gets it.
As always, Sonic uses his unique power of incredible speed and curls into a ball, leaving behind a blue blur to outrace Dr. Ivo “Eggman” Robotnik.
The fame of Thomas “Tom” Michael Wachowski, aka Sheriff Tom Wachowski, has spread far and wide. He is the sheriff of Green Hills, identified to Sonic as “Donut Lord,” who wishes to join the SFPD.
Tom befriends Sonic and they become best of friends. He helps Sonic stop Robotnik and helps him retrieve the emerald before the evil Doctor Eggman does.
Tika Sumpter is Maddie Wachowski: a veterinarian and Tom’s wife who aids them in fighting Robotnik.
It’s a race to get the emerald!
