Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, but that doesn’t mean you have to spend a ton of money on gifts. We always do our own cute crafts for Valentine’s Day.
We have done DIY Gnomes, cute animals Chocolate crafts, crafts using melted crayons, and Valentine’s Day cookie pops. We always get creative.
Save some cash by making your own Valentine cards with this easy unicorn craft for kids! It’s a great paper craft and makes for a fun coloring activity too…just print out my free template, color the Unicorn and cut it out. You can also use glitter glue or markers to make it more festive! And you can even use a lollipop as a horn for this fun craft.
This is a fun idea for any Unicorn lover, whether they are preschool kids or older children. I made this craft for our Unicorn Themed Valentine’s Day Party, but you can use it as a coloring activity orincluding unicorn valentine cards.
I made it with cardstock but you can use regular paper. I just like something sturdier more “card looking.”
Free Unicorn Valentines Printable
Materials
- White Cardstock
- Scissors
- Tape and/or stick glue
- OOLY Radiant Writers / Pastel Hues Colored Pencil Set
- Rainbow Lollipops / Unicorn Pencils for unicorn horn
Instructions
- Print out template of Unicorn instructions on cardstock
- Color unicorn face with Radiant Writers / Pastel Hues Colored Pencil Set
- cut out your cards by cutting along the dotted outline with scissors( Cut it out with an adult if needed)
- use scissors to cut a small slit on the Unicorn’s head
- cut slit for the horn or pencil
- fold the card in half and add lollipop or Unicorn pencil
- you can either tape it shut and glue on the inside or you can use a piece of double sided tape
Here I used the Unicorn Pencils by OOLY for unicorn horn.
I also tried using the Double Ended Pastel Liners by OOLY – these are fun because they have two different sides to them.
I love these colors by OOLY.
