Easter Dirt Cake Recipe Ideas
Easter cake is really popular during the Spring. There are many different types of Easter dirt cake recipes out there! It’s totally up to you what you want to use for dirt cake. You can tweek this fun recipe anyway you like!
Crushed up Oreo Cookies
Some people use crushed up Oreo cookies. You can make an Oreo crust with Oreo crumbs in this recipe if you would like. Just grab a package of Oreo’s and throw into a ziploc bag and crush!
Other Crushed up Ingredients in Blender
Some people use crushed up chocolate cookies, shredded coconut, cookie crumbs, Easter candy or gummy worms in their Easter dirt cups.
Either way, you can add these to a blender and blend them until they are chunky crumbles or put them in a food processor. Ew, gummy worms in a blender…
Filling Ideas for Dirt Cup
Others use vanilla pudding, or add a pudding layer, cream cheese mixture, cheesecake filling, or chocolate pudding mixture in between layers of cookie crumbs. The ones that use a layer of Oreo are called Easter Oreo dirt cake.
The common denominator for the Easter Bunny dirt cake is that these Easter recipes are made with Peeps bunnies!
Check out these Easter Bunny Pops!
The great thing about making this perfect dessert is that you can add anything you want and be creative. I’d like to add candy eggs and chocolate eggs around them.
I like simple and I like making an easy Easter dessert. So I used a brownie mix in a box (using an electric mixer and big bowl) with green icing for the grass. The kids will love edible Easter grass!
Devils food cake or chocolate cake will work too and some people mix cream cheese icing instead of traditional cake icing ( adding a little green food coloring). Either way, it’s so much fun!
I put smiley faces on the Easter Peeps with a candy melt pen and added mini candy carrots.
Use Recycled Glass Jars for Easter Dirt Cake Recipe
I used recycled Oui yogurt glasses. I am obsessed with this French style yogurt! It reminds me of my young days living in Europe.
They are perfect for this delicious Easter dessert.
