Bella Organics
Makeup & Beauty - April 22, 2015

2015-04-16 23.07.07When I worked in retail I had many customers asking for organic skincare and body products.  It was frustrating to have people walk up to me with a list of ingredients to look for in my products.  They would walk away disappointed.  I almost took it personally.  But now that I have children so I understand.  I can’t do all organic, but if I have an opportunity to use organic produce and skincare, I will.  I spent many summers in Greece where my father had a farm and we lived off of fresh feta and fresh eggs.  The produce tasted different back then.  Actually, the fact that the produce tasted like something is what I took for granted when I moved to the States.  There are so many chemicals in our food here.

So when I received my Bella Organics products to review I was excited.  The packaging is adorable.  There are many organic and natural products out there that I have seen with boring and outdated packaging that are not enticing.  I felt like I was getting treats before I even opened them up.

The first thing I tried was the Coconut Lime Body Butter.  Delish.  So delish, it smells good enough to eat.  My skin is dry and I have to put lotion/cream on twice a day.  This body butter is truly body butter.  The main ingredient is Shea butter which protects your skin from UV sunlight, harsh climate, dehydration and pollution damage. A little goes a long way since it doesn’t contain water.  The consistency is like whipped icing.

Ingredients: Organic Shea Butter, Organic Coconut Oil, Organic Sunflower Seed Oil, Organic Macadamia  Oil, Organic Arrowroot Powder, Organic Coconut Scent Oil, Organic Lime Scent Oil & Organic Lime Essential Oil

2015-04-16 14.45.36-1The next product I tried was their lip balm.  Oh boy.  We all know that I am a balmaholic.  I stash lip balm ever where.  I love a good lip balm.  So I was so impressed when I tried Bella Organics Lip Balm.  It is creamy, hydrating and smells amazing.  I have never had a great experience with organic or natural lip balm until I came across these.  They have awesome flavors too!  They offer nine flavors and an unflavored lip balm.

Ingredients: Organic Shea Butter, Organic Mango Butter, Organic Coconut Oil, Organic Almond Oil, Organic Beeswax, Stevia Extract and Organic Flavor Extracts.

Chocolate Lip Balms Ingredients: Organic Unrefined Cocoa Butter, Organic Mango Butter, Organic Coconut Oil, Organic Almond Oil, Organic Beeswax, Organic Raw Cocoa, Organic Flavor Extracts, Stevia.

The next product I tried was their deodorant.  Wow, this stuff is amazing!  I would like to say that I use organic or even natural deodorant but I don’t.  Running after a one year old all day long, I sweat a lot.  I have really struggled lately with getting a good deodorant.

I was afraid the anything without chemicals would not work.  This is my honest opinion.  But when I tried the Vanilla Mint Deodorant I was so impressed.  It lasted so long and smelled so amazing (yes, I kept smelling my armpits).  I love it and can’t wait to try the Lavender Vanilla!  They also have Ocean for men.

Ingredients: Organic Shea Butter, Organic Arrowroot Powder, (Vegan), Organic Sunflower Oil, Organic Virgin Coconut Oil, Aluminum-Free Baking Soda, Organic Lemon Essential Oil, Organic Lime Essential Oil, Organic Peppermint Essential Oil, Organic Vanilla Extract, Organic Tea Tree Essential Oil.

The last product I tried was the Pine And Sage Hand Soap.  If you like sage your going to love this!  It contains the finest saponified organic olive, coconut and jojoba oils.  It is a rich foaming hand soap and comes in a convenient travel size.  It has no harmful ingredients like detergents and synthetic fragrances.

Ingredients: Saponified oils of: Olea Europaea* (Olive), Cocos Nucifera* (Coconut), Ricinus Communis* (Castor), Simmondsia Chinensis* (Jojoba), Elaeis Guineensis* (Palm), Pinus Sylvestris* (Pine), Salvia Officinalis* (Sage), Lavandula Augustifolia* (Lavender) Syzgium Aromaticum L* (Clove), & Juniperus Comunis L* (Juniper Berry) *Certified Organic.

About Bella Organics according to their website:

Bella Organics was founded in 2012 in response to a growing concern for the severe lack of all-natural and organic skincare products available. Our mission statement is simple: We believe that we should take care of our bodies, and in turn, our bodies will take care of us. That’s why Bella Organics products will never contain water, emulsifiers, or any of the toxic or unnatural ingredients that are found today in most mass-market products. We use only the best plant-based essential oils and extracts—each one specifically selected based on their unique botanical properties and their effect on skin. Our skin is our largest organ, and the one most affected by outside environmental influences and aging, so we should do everything we can to protect it—naturally!

All of our products are handcrafted locally, and we believe in paying our employees a wage that they can actually live on, treating each employee as family, which helps to create a positive work environment. Bella Organics was founded on the premise of being natural and environmentally responsible, which is why our packaging is comprised of 100% recyclable materials, with a goal of providing 80% of our products in biodegradable containers within the next few years.

I am so impressed with these products and the price point is fair compared to what I’ve seen elsewhere.  I am definitely recommending these products to my friends and family. Besides Body Care, Bella Organics also offers Baby Care and Face Care.
