How to Put Together the Best Holiday Cards
Blog - November 14, 2018

This is a Sponsored Post for Basic Invite. However, all opinions are my own.

The Holidays are coming up fast and I am scrambling to get the family pictures together.  My boys are not easy when it comes to taking pictures.  Bribery helps. It is what it is.

However, there is something else to consider when putting together Holiday cards.

How do I put it together? What kind of card will I get?

Do I want to go retro holiday cards this year or elegant Christmas cards?

Us moms like to go all out. Last year we lived in Deerfield Beach, and knowing it would be our last Christmas holiday there, I decided to do beach photos.

This year we live in Phoenix.  I’m thinking Christmas cactus instead of a Christmas tree for a prop.

Fortunately, getting them ordered and put together is the easy part.  Basic Invite is perfect because you can preview everything on their site before you make a decision.  If you need to change it and check out different colors, it’s easy.  They have a 180 different color options as well as over 500 Christmas card and holiday card designs!

Not sure? You can also get custom samples.  Basic Invite is one of the few stationary websites that allows customers to print a sample first so you can get a feel (literally) for the paper quality before they place the order.  They also carry foil holiday cards that are available in gold, silver, and rose gold. Customers can choose flat or raised foil on all of foil designs

Another bonus is that they offer 40 different envelope colors and the envelopes are peel and seal so no yukky licking!

My favorite feature is the Address Capturing Service that allows customers to simply share a link on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or any other form of social media to request their friends and family’s addresses which will be stored in the customer’s account and can then be selected during the design process.  Asking people for their addresses and going through my contact list is one of the things that slows me down the most and keeps me putting off the process all together.

Do you have a Christmas party invitation idea?

Go ahead and check out Basic Invite.  Not only do they carry Christmas cards, they offer much more, like Birth Announcements, Wedding Invites and accessories.
