A new school year brings excitement, fresh opportunities, and plenty of emotions for both children and parents. As our kids prepare to meet new teachers, make new friends, and settle into new routines, many of us are also carrying worries about their safety, confidence, friendships, and academic success.
A back-to-school prayer can help us pause, place those concerns in God’s hands, and begin the 2026–2027 school year with faith and hope.

A Prayer for the New School Year
Sending children back to school can bring a mixture of excitement and uncertainty. We may wonder whether they will feel comfortable in their classrooms, find supportive friends, make wise choices, and receive the help they need.
Prayer gives us a moment to release those worries and focus on what we can provide: encouragement, love, preparation, and a safe place for our children to return to each day.

As we send our children back to school, we pray for Your protection and guidance. Keep them safe from harm, both physically and emotionally.
