The Noddy Toyland Detective App is Out!
June 29, 2017

This is a Sponsored Post for MomSelect.  However, all opinions are my own. Summer vacation is about playing outside and discovering new things.  But here in Florida, the rain keeps us inside a lot.  We can run out of things to do. Summer also means going on road trips but the kids can get bored stuck in the car for hours at a time.  This is where apps come in handy.  Instead of being glued on the T.V., they like to play educational games that stimulate their minds.  We don't watch movies in the car.  They have enough of that in the house with Netflix. If you watch Netflix, you have heard of Noddy Toyland Detective.  If you're like me, and grew up in England, you'll remember …

How My Kids Are Getting More Confident in the Water This Summer
June 20, 2017

This post was sponsored by SwimWays as part of an Influencer Activation for Influence Central and all opinions expressed in my post are my own. Summer is here and the kids kee pasking to go over to their friend's house to swim.  We can only go using constant caution, while most of their friends can swim now. They want to hang out at the beach and play but we rarely go because keeping an eye on two kids that can't swim seems impossible.  Safety is key. Since neither of them still know how to swim yet, I'd rather take them to the splash pad.  But that is not realistic, is it?  I never "learned" how to swim, probably because my mother had a fear of swimming and …

What Just Happened With the United States & the Paris Agreement?
June 2, 2017

What just happened with the United States & the Paris Agreement?  by Misty P. Castañeda. Why it’s more important than EVER to get our kids involved with protecting the environment through giving and volunteering? June 1, 2017 (or doomsday, as I like to refer to it) will go down in history as a day to remember…but probably not in a good way.  It will signify the day that the United States announced that it was withdrawing from the Paris Agreement, and as you can see- one of the For-Purpose Kids is pretty upset about it. Wait…what just happened? Yes, the current administration in the US just announced that they will withdraw from the Paris Climate Accord, a global initiative to address climate change and the impact of greenhouse gas …

How to Pay Less For LEGO®Sets
March 2, 2017

With two LEGO® loving boys, I have finally accepted that fact that our lives will be consumed with every thing LEGO®.  We recently went to the VIP grand opening of Ninjago World at LEGOLAND® Florida Resort and their LEGO® obsession was catapulted to a new dimension. Help!  I think of all the money that LEGO® will be costing us in the future.  Don't get me wrong, LEGOS are awesome.  But they keep coming out with more stuff!  This means that we have to keep buying it. I've always wondered if there would ever be a solution to this dilemma.  Believe it or not, there is and it's called Bricksmarts. My kids were thrilled to receive an up-cycled LEGO®set by Bricksmarts. Bricksmarts up-cycles incomplete, unused, unwanted LEGO® sets, and gives them new life by …

Earth Mama Angel Baby is on Sale!
January 25, 2017

. My favorite lotion EVER is the Earth Mama Angel Baby Calming Lavender Baby Lotion...for myself! lol.  This delicious, toxin free baby lotion is blended with organic herbal ingredients to moisturize and protect sensitive, delicate skin. I have a ritual when I use the Calming Lavender Baby Lotion.  I apply it all over my body every night before I go to bed.  I love breathing in the lavender and feeling a sense of ease after my crazy day with the kids.  It's never calm with two boys under the age of five!  Then I do my mediation as I slip into a peaceful sleep. Funny thing is, I should be putting on my kids before bed.... But they do enjoy the Angel Baby Lotion after their baths.   It is …

Nurturing My Son's Creativity With The Kano Computer Set
January 25, 2017

I just started learning code.  There's no way around it when you have a Blog.  But I remember learning code in high school and the confidence I received when using it and figuring it out.  It was amazing! This Christmas my son shocked me with these words, "Mommy I want the Kano Computer...that's ALL I want!"  All his friends talk about Super Mario and video games - I have no clue about them because he's just not getting them.  Period. He didn't care about anything else, not Spiderman or Ninja Turtles, no Legos, or even remote control cars.  All he wanted was the Kano Computer Kit.  He was obsessed.  Maybe it's because he's growing up.  Or because he see his parents on their computers for their jobs so …

Bobux Shoes
January 12, 2017

I have boys!  Dirty, scruffy, ruff and tumble, delicious boys. And their shoes last about two days.  No, I'm just kidding.  But seriously, they go through shoes fast.  Some last longer than others but both my kids have "challenging" feet.  This is not from my side of the family.  Hahaha. They both have wide, square, high insteps.  It's so much fun looking for shoes!   Now, my five year old has discovered laces and that big boys wear shoes with laces, so that narrows it down a bit.  lol. We decided to try Bobux Shoes but I will confess that I was a little nervous shopping for shoes online when their feet are such a challenge.   But I was willing to give it a shot. The first pair of …
