If you’re looking for uncompromising fun at an official Walt Disney World Hotel, steps away from Disney Springs, with a choice of two hotels, same amenities, the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Disney Springs™ is the place for you and your family. You will find a plethora of recreational amenities and awesome dining options for the whole family, including a buffet breakfast with the original Mickey Mouse waffles.
I received a complimentary stay at the Wyndham Resort to facilitate my review, however, all opinions are my own.
When we were looking for hotels in Orlando, we weren’t too fussy about where to stay but we do have certain requirements, especially since we were traveling with two kids under the age of five.
We look for things to do and family friendly places to stay.
We don’t need luxury, per se, because the kids wouldn’t appreciate it, but we did have specific needs that people without kids might not consider. Most importantly, we needed family-friendly amenities.
So, we researched the closest hotel to Disney Springs. This was a good starting point since we knew we would be spending time at the Disney Springs Resort Area.
When we checked into the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Disney Springs™ Resort Area, we knew that it had gone under some renovations.
I knew that it was two hotels but I didn’t have anything to compare it to because we had never stayed there. The first impression is huge with me and when I walked into the lobby, I knew it was going to be a great stay.
The decor exudes comfort and class with comfy couches and chairs to lounge around on. Beautiful fixtures and lighting put out a warm vibe along with an inviting staircase that leads to the Lakeview Restaurant.
I was greeted with a smile at the front desk when I checked in and the staff was upbeat and always helpful.
It’s simple gestures like these that bring me back to hotels like the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista.
There are many reasons why this hotel suited us so well but here’s 10 reasons that sealed the deal.

This was the view from the room of Disney Springs.
We stayed in the Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista Disney Springs™ Hotel. Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista has recently been renovated and now offers 394 guest rooms, which are located in a five-story courtyard style structure on a resort-style campus.
We found it to be very comfortable. One of the main things we needed was a refrigerator and the one they had in the room was very large.
We were able to store three days worth of water and snacks, perfect for the parks! We had a courtyard view overlooking the pool. The room was spacious, and the closet was equipped with an ironing board and iron.
Everything was very clean and there were plenty of drawers. Next to the window was a table that could seat two people comfortably.
This is where my kids ate dinner while I worked on my computer. We were very happy with the room. Even with two boys under five-years-old, there was plenty of space for everyone to move around.

Not everyone wants to dine in the Hotel they’re staying at, but it’s good to know that if you just want a cup of coffee and a pastry for breakfast, that it is available 24/7.
You can enjoy a wide range of restaurants all in one location.
Joffrey’s Coffee Shop
Joffrey’s is my new Starbucks and it’s everywhere in Disney Springs.™They have specialty coffee drinks, amazing pastries, cooked to order breakfast sandwiches and ridiculous donuts.
Sundial Café
Located on the hotel’s Lobby Level, Sundial 24-7 is a convenient spot for guests and families on the move. Ideal for visitors and families on the go, it offers a wide range of light, quick, casual, self-serve foods and beverages.
The Lakeview Restaurant’s Buffet Breakfast with the Origninal Mickey Mouse Waffles
The Lakeview Restaurant offers a buffet breakfast with everything a family needs.
We had the buffet and I especially liked the fresh fruit and nuts to add to my pancakes. The kids loved the Mickey Mouse waffles and the wait staff was exceptional, always making sure I had enough coffee. The Lakeview Restaurant at Wyndham Lake Buena Vista has the perfect breakfast to get you going for a long day at Disney!
Oasis Bar & Grill at Wyndham Lake Buena Vista
The Oasis Bar & Grill is poolside has a lot to offer. The poolside service is great for snacks, breakfast items, lunches and even dinner.
You can also relax and sit at the poolside bar while the kids play in the waterpark. The wings were the most amazing wings I have ever had. We also had Mahi Mahi Tacos which were exceptional. There’s something for everyone!
The adults will love having cocktails around the hot tub, pool deck or in the cabanas while the kids play in the waterpak.
Onsite Waterpark with Interactive Water Features at Wyndham Lake Buena Vista
This aquatic playground is a kid’s dream!
The Wyndham has their very own interactive waterpark, the Oasis Aquatic pool playground, which is available to guests of the hotel free of charge.
It’s an all-ages activity with slides, fountains, geysers and play zones where kids can climb and slide under a waterfall. My three year old had fun playing in the “rain forest.”
They also have two pools and a hot tub available.
Convenient Location – Just Steps Away to Disney Springs
Our number one priority was making sure we were within walking distance from Disney Springs™. Disney Springs™ has undergone some major renovations, including making a bridge from the hotel that leads you directly to Downtown Disney’s doorstep.
In the past, one had to cross the street, and that intersection is very very busy, so this is a great improvement. The Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Disney Springs™ Hotel is now the closest hotel to Disney Springs™.
We are big fans of Downtown Disney, therefore, it makes us very happy that it was just a short walk from the hotel. We enjoyed all the new shops and renovations this year. What a difference!
Daily Shuttle Service
Speaking of location, there is continuous daily shuttle service to the theme parks available onsite. We only waited ten minutes for a bus to Magic Kingdom. The shuttle schedules are provided at check in.

The daily resort fee is $32.00 per room, per night plus tax and includes:
- 10% off food and non-alcoholic beverage purchase at the Pool Restaurant

Parking Services:
The hotel charges a daily self parking fee of $20.00 plus tax (subject to change). This is affordable if you don’t have to drive to the parks and pay for parking there.
Certified Green Hotel
Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Disney Springs™ Hotel is a certified green hotel. What does that mean? It means that the Wyndham Hotel Group is committed to improving the health and sustainability of our planet with “green” – or ecofriendly – hotels and resorts.
To help reduce the daily use of water, energy and detergents, they change your sheets every three days, and at checkout. Just look for the Leaf Symbol (the shower curtain is where I first noticed it).
More amenities include a 24/7 fitness center, sand volleyball court, basketball court, valet, Dollar Car Rental, Complimentary wireless internet access, 24-hour business center, conference space and my kid’s favorite : the arcade (game room).
We really enjoyed our stay there and plan on going back. With all the impressive facilities, we have to! I’m still dreaming of the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Breakfast!
This will be our “go to” Hotel in the future and the rates are so affordable we might stay on the other side! Woohoo!
