I write a lot about organic beauty products. I love trying new things, especially if they are organic. But that doesn’t mean I only use organic. There are two reasons for this:
I am the typical woman that wants results yesterday and some products promise to do this. However, they don’t. I am just a sucker. But a woman can still dream, can’t she?
Or she can just get plastic surgery.
So, I bounce back and forth, expecting miracles, getting immediate results from products that have fillers but are full of chemicals and preservatives.
It’s like a battle inside my head! Deep down I know what’s good for me and how healing and restoring botanicals are. I know how powerful antioxidants are and what they can do for the skin.
The second reason is that most of the organic products I try are okay but don’t smell fantastic or I just don’t like the consistency.
So, when a friend and old colleague of mine asked me to try some of his products, I readily agreed simply because he is a friend and he has so much experience in the skincare world that I was curious to see what he came up with. But honestly, I did not have high hopes for yet another organic skincare product.
I waited a couple of weeks to try it so I could limit myself to only their products. You can imagine how my bathroom shelves are full of skincare products with all the reviewing I do. I know, it’s a terrible job I have, lol. Sometimes I just bounce back and forth from product to product. But I wanted to give it a good try and experience the whole line. I had been feeling a little “meh” about my skincare routine anyway.
I tried the products and was very surprised at how much I enjoyed using them.
The Gentle Face Cleanser was awesome! I have never had any luck with organic cleansers. The ones I have used in the past were okay but my skin never felt super cleansed. This one is exactly as the title states; gentle. Sometimes after using organic cleansers my face felt like it was still dirty, if that makes sense. But the Gentle Face Cleanser worked. My skin felt clean and refreshed.
Since that was the first product I tried, I was hopeful with my reaction to the rest of the products. For key ingredients click HERE. At eight ounces, it retails for $45.
The next product I tried was the Overnight Recovery Cream. This cream helps boost the skins repair process while you sleep. It also protects the skin from environmental damage. Usually serums are my “go to” products for this, but I fell in love with this cream. My skin loves it! It’s emollient and nourishing and smells amazing.
It is good for all skin types and a little goes a long way. Two ounces’ retails for $56. I highly recommend this product for anyone with dehydrated skin too. It’s like giving your skin a drink of water.
I also tried the Daily Protective Serum. Serums are important because they reach a deeper layer of the skin to help protect it from free radical damage and environmental stressors. This serum is a powerhouse of anti-oxidants and has Hyaluronic Acid which is a popular ingredient in a lot of antiaging creams and helps plump up the skin giving it a more youthful appearance. One ounce retails for $48.
Another one of my favorite products is the Replenishing Facial Oil. This stuff is yummy! If you’re into aromatherapy you will get a positive experience applying this on your face. This is great for dry, depleted skin. It is enriched with vitamins, essential amino acids, omegas 3, 6, and 9. Your skin will feel soothed and replenished. I don’t use this everyday however. It is very rich and a little goes a long way! I especially use it when I am sleep deprived (kids) or need a boost. One ounce retails for $48.
I also tried the Firming Eye Cream. Often people ask me why they just can’t use their face cream around their eyes. This is because the skin around the eyes is much delicate than the face and requires something very gentle, yet effective. What I like about the Firming Eye Cream is that it has Amino Acid Peptides which help elasticity and skin resilience, reducing the appearance of lines and wrinkles. It’s very emollient, perfect for dry crepey eyes. It retails for $48.
The last product I tried was the Revitalizing Moisture Cream, another great moisturizer for normal to dry skin. What I liked about it, is that it also has hyaluronic acid which helps to plump the skin. I would prefer if it has an UVA/UVB sun protection but if that is added to it, the cream would be compromised. I’m hoping they come out with a daily moisturizer with sun protection. That gets tricky with antiaging products, because like I said, it compromised the strength of the product.
I would recommend Randell O’Neill Organics to everyone. They have a skin routine for all skin types. These will not get shoved to the side like so many of my other skincare products. I actually look forward to using them. My skin feels great and I like the aromatherapeutic benefits they have too.
