Ninjago World Opens in Legoland Florida!
Blog - January 29, 2017

We went to LEGOLAND® Florida Resort a few months back and when we found out the Ninjago World was opening, we knew we had to go back!

We were invited to the VIP grand opening of the all new LEGOLAND Ninjago World at LEGOLAND® Florida Resort, a magical martial arts kingdom, and got to experience the ride, LEGO NINJAGO The Ride.

During the grand opening, we got to see the stars of the Netflix Original Series “Fuller House,” Jodie Sweetin, Michael Campion, Soni Nicole Bringas, Ashley Liao, Elias Harger,  along with Mckenna Grace, star of ABC’s “Designated Survivor! They came out on the stage and demonstrated various moves for training #BecomeTheNinja such as the Chops of Fury, The Cobra, The Fireball Flinger, The Lightning Strike, and the The Shuriken [SHUR-IH-KEN] Shuffle.  We got to sharpen our skills before going on the LEGO NINJAGO The Ride soon after. Kai and Nya also came up on stage and we got to do a “meet and greet” before the ride and take pictures.

LEGO NINJAGO The Ride is Ninjago World’s new attraction and dark ride which blends 3D computer animation, “4D” special effects such as heat, fog and strobe lighting, and groundbreaking interactive technology never seen outside a LEGOLAND theme park.  It features Maestro hand-gesture technology, which enables guests to control the game with their hands — and without the need for a hand-held device.

The kids also enjoyed the outdoor activities, which helps sharpen their ninja skills, including Cole’s Rock Climb, a horizontal, right-to-left climbing wall to test kids’ strength and endurance.  It’s recommended for ages 2-12 so it was great for my boys ages 3 and 5-years-old.

Another outdoor activity that I could not drag them away from was the Zane’s Temple Build.  There were bins with loose bricks to add to a giant model of the mountaintop NINJAGO monastery and we had to slowly get them to leave Ninjago World as we wanted to explore the rest of the park.  It was like pulling teeth!  The could of played there all day.

We walked around and discovered more of Ninjago World after the opening.

We also checked out Wu’s Warehouse, a themed retail shop filled with LEGO NINJAGO building sets, children’s apparel, costumes, books, souvenirs and more.

When the doors opened to the public we came across these amazing Ninjas performing.  Then we headed out to discover the rest of the park. You can check out my review of our first visit HERE.

It was also our first time staying at the  LEGOLAND® Florida Resort Hotel and it totally exceeded our expectations!  The kids loved it!

There is so much space for kids to play and run around.

This was lego heaven for my kids.  There is no shortage of legos at the hotel.

There were lots of activities and places to sit and watch the kids, including an open restaurant and bar.

The view from our room was amazing!

Check out our hotel room in the video below.

Lots of excitement when we woke up!

Henri loved his bunk bed!

And the breakfast was amazing!

Then we were on our way to the grand opening of Ninjago World.  It was a perfect day.  We came back to the hotel and stayed for hours while the kids played and we winded down and got ready for our drive home.
