OMG! Disney on Ice presents “Mickey’s Search Party” – BLEW ME AWAY!
As a mom, there are things we do with and for our kids, that are for the kids. They aren’t really for us. Like taking our kids to birthday parties or soccer games on the weekend. We all have fun, but it’s not my idea of a day at the spa, or a hike in nature…or just about any chance to explore somewhere new.
And, that is how I feel about Disney on Ice. I would much rather be at the real deal, Walt Disney World. Disney on Ice is totally a cute show. My kids definitely love it. But, me personally, it’s kind of a been there, done that.
The new Disney on Ice show “Mickey’s Search Party” was fun, fresh, and so exciting. Disney on Ice really stepped up their game in the stunt department. Think Cirque du Soleil level stunts mixed in with the classic ice skating tricks, and it’s just – WOW!!!!!
The show is really interactive, as the adorable hosts take us on a treasure hunt to save Tinker Bell who was just captured by Capt’n Hook and his Pirate Gang. Lucky audience members help by doing things like playing Coco’s guitar, riding in the sleigh to help find Elsa, and doing the wave to bring out Moana.
The lineup of your favorite Disney scenes and characters is on point. Who was singing along more? The little girl in the princess dress or her mom? It’s a toss-up!
If my kids were at the age to be embarrassed by me, they certainly would have been. I could not stop singing and dancing in my seat.
The energy, costumes, and performances were pretty awesome.
