When I walk into a Red Lobster I see families laughing and sharing biscuits and entrees.  This has been my experience for years. Up until recently it was always my husband and I on date night.  We love sharing meals together and have not been able to do that lately because we have both been so busy.

My kids love to go out and dine with us sometimes too.  Last week it was my son’s 4th Birthday and my Birthday as well.  So, we decided to celebrate together as a family at Red Lobster during Lobsterfest.  We were excited to celebrate all together.  Birthdays are a big deal in our house and usually we celebrate all week long.

My husband and I love seafood, so we were excited, especially since it was Lobsterfest. We love everything from their famous biscuits to the lobster and Red Lobster offers that all year around, now offering nine new and classic lobster dishes prepared roasted, grilled, topped and steamed.

When I saw the NEW! Lobster Truffle Mac & Cheese, it was love at first sight.  I could not stop thinking about the cheese truffle lobster cream with Maine and Langostino lobster and Parmesan panko crumb.

The NEW! Lobster Truffle Mac & Cheese lived up to all my expectations and I am hooked.

I can still taste it.  It was so flavorful, with big chunks of lobster in it. I kept digging in for more bites followed by sighs of happiness.

Other dishes on the menu are NEW! Dueling Lobster Tails™, NEW! Stuffed Tilapia with Langostino Lobster, NEW! Lobsterfest® Surf and Turf.

My husband had a past favorite, the Lobster Lover’s Dream®.

Both entrees are served with a side of your choice.  We chose their Caesar salad. It was yummy.

The lobster tail and sweet split Maine lobster tail served with lobster and shrimp linguini Alfredo was the perfect dish to have with the NEW! Lobster Lover’s Punch, a refreshing cocktail.  The NEW! Lobster Lover’s Punch has Captain Morgan®, Bacardi® and Malibu® rum, shaken with berry and pineapple juice.  My husband sucked it down and took home the the 50th anniversary collectible glass to remember our celebration.  Whenever he drinks out of that glass, we will have these memories.

We also tried the NEW! Chilled Lobster and Shrimp Cocktail.  It was the perfect appetizer to accompany our Lobster entree. It had chilled split petite Maine lobster tails and jumbo shrimp served with Red Lobster’s signature cocktail sauce.

My boys, who love to go fishing were so excited to be a part of our celebration too.  They know that Red Lobster is the place to eat when it comes to lobster. We showed them a video from Great Big Story, about lobster sustainability from some of the trusted fishermen who’ve provided lobster to Red Lobster for generations. Check out the video below.

This video was produced in partnership with Great Big Story.

All the seafood served at Red Lobster is sourced in a manner that is Traceable, Sustainable and Responsible to ensure that a healthy seafood supply exists now and for generations. We saw the lobster tanks where you can find information about their sourcing commitments.  This information can also be found in the menu.  My kids loved learning about how Red Lobster supports men and women in these communities who fish responsibly and sustainably.

We had a fantastic time at Red Lobster.  Spending my Birthday with the people I love was truly memorable.  Celebrations make the best memories! The staff even brought out a Birthday brownie with ice cream and sang Happy Birthday.  Lobsterfest is so much fun!

A shout out to Dakari, our server.  Thanks for taking good care of us at the Fort Lauderdale location!  We can’t wait to go back for more Lobsterfest!
