I don’t know how many times I have blogged about antiaging and mentioned the importance of sunscreen. I always told my clients that the best antiaging product is sunscreen. You can put all the retinol, do all the glycolic peels, all the plastic surgery (remember I worked in Boca Raton, a plastic surgeons paradise) but it’s not going benefit you if you don’t protect your skin. You might as well throw your money away. That is why I love reviewing sunscreens. I am always looking for the perfect texture and smell.
I remember when Body Glove bathing suits were all the rage. I know, I’m dating myself here. But when you went to the surf shop to buy your suit, your sunscreen might have been a bright neon color. It was known that if you wanted the best protection, you needed to use colored zinc oxide. But I wasn’t having any of that nonsense. Not me! I laid out in the sun for four hours at a time in the hot desert Arizona heat. My tanning cocktail was iodine, my mom’s British Tea and baby oil. Thank God I fell into skincare in my early 30’s and was able to save my skin. My mom, who is British and has beautiful skin used to tell me that I’d regret it. She was right. But believe it or not, at 44 years of age, people are still shocked when they see my skin. I tell them it’s a good moisturizer with sunblock or I add sunblock on top of my moisturizer. Just do it.
Many of my friends shy away from sunscreen because they have sensitive skin. “I don’t want to break out,” they say. Or they say, “it’s too thick and greasy!” Everything has to be oil free for them. When in reality they don’t realize they are stripping their skin of the oil it needs and so they are producing more oil, therefore feeling “oily.” It’s like a crazy cycle.
So when I had an opportunity to review Daily Rehydrating Sunscreen: SPF 30+ – Contains Vitamins A, B, C & E & Seaweed Extract – Rehydrating Skin Protection – Paraben & Fragarance Free – Broad Spectrum UVA / UVB Protection, I jumped at the opportunity. It’s rare to find a good sunscreen with UVA and UVB protection but how about that AND adding antiaging properties to it? Does that sound like a dream? It’s not! With a formula called Sundrisol7(TM) created especially for antianging, you will love Andre Lorent Daily Hydrating Sunscreen. It’s nongreasy, so there goes that excuse. It’s fragrance free, hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic, has no parabens and is perfect for sensitive skin. It’s even gentle enough to use of children over six months!
I would really recommend Andre Lorent Daily Hydrating Sunscreen) for the whole family. I keep mine in my diaper bag. It’s lightweight but moisturizes. Perfect for Florida!
