There are so many tablets and computers out there, it’s overwhelming when trying to make a responsible decision on what to purchase. I always look for high performance and any way I can get my work done faster and smarter. I also don’t want something big to carry around with me. I need something versatile too that can work with the kids being around. Being a stay at home working mom, I have a lot to consider.
So, I was checking out Pixelbook. It is the new Chromebook that’s the thinnest one yet! There were so many bonuses to consider but I narrowed it down to four.
1.You Get to have Google with you Always
Pixelbook is the first laptop with the Google Assistant built in. You can either use the “Ok Google” wake work your already familiar with or you can just hit the dedicated Google Assistant key on the keyboard. You can also use the Pixelbook Pen1.
2. You Don’t have to Worry about Security
You’ll always have the peace of mind that it is constantly being updated with the latest security and features with software because it’s powered by Chrome OS. It also starts up in under ten seconds. That’s a great feature because often I realize I need to check something fast and I’ve used computers that take too long to start up. I would hit the start button and go and make my coffee. It’s just grueling. It also charges fast and the battery will give you ten hours of use.
3. The Pixelbook is Very Versatile
It is Google’s thinnest laptop ever which makes it versatile. The 360° touchscreen and 4-in-1 design allows it to adjust to whatever I’m doing. Sometimes, I want to prop it up, so the kids can watch something while they are eating. That’s the reality of my life. I need versatile, always. I must have something that can adapt to my lifestyle. My son can also sit and do his homework with it on his lap if he needs to. I can also relax with offline access to movies and TV shows with apps like Google Play Movies and YouTube Red.
4. You Have the Option of Getting the Pixelbook Pen
It is a smart, responsive stylus. Pixelbook Pen is sold as a separate accessory. But I think it is a great tool for my kids, whether they want to draw or do their homework. You can also use it to get help from your assistant.
I think I have my mind made up. There are too many great features like apps that I use all the time; Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail, and Photos. It’s hard to pass up the Pixelbook.
What do you think? What are your requirements when looking for a laptop?
