I recently wrote an article about Stocking Stuffers for the Thirsty Kid.  This was an attempt to give stocking stuffer gift ideas that were not toys or candy, but something still fun for the kids and would get them excited.

Now, I’m moving on to the gifts under the tree.  The one’s Santa brings, hehe.

Planetbox has some awesome gifts for the whole family – like this Shuttle -it’s great for 2-4 year-olds or as a snack bento box for adults- with two compartments and a Tall Dipper for sauces like ketchup or peanut butter – it’s the perfect size!

It is available on planetbox.com or Amazon.  It’s so easy to clean up and it’s non-toxic, non-leaching, safe from BPA, phthalates, and lead.  It doesn’t get any better than that!  You can also get the accessories, like a carrying bag and the magnets to add on.  You can even design your own magnets! There’s no other choice for me other than PlanetBox.

Kano Pixel Kit

We got the Computer Kit last year and my son had a blast with it.  He still uses it and is not done coding.  He’s creative and wants to keep learning. This awesome pixel kit helps kids learn to code lights!  It has 128 LEDs and 16 million colors to create with.  They can paint with light, make games and animations and even make lights move to sound with the built-in microphone!  It works with Mac, PC and Linux. It connects to any Kano kit including the Computer Kit and Motion Sensor Kit.  For ages 6+ (parental help may be needed for ages 6-8).  No technical knowledge required. Includes Lifetime Support and a 1 year warranty.

The Kano Pixel Kit is available on Kano.me or Target, and Amazon.

Kano Motion Sensor Kit

This is another great coding kit for kids to just plug and play. Talk about sensory! They can control music and games with their hands, feet, or nose. It teaches simple steps to learning code and works with Mac, PC and Linux. It connects to any Kano kit including the Computer Kit and Pixel Kit.  Perfect for ages 6+ (parental help may be needed for ages 6-8). No technical knowledge required. Includes Lifetime Support and a 1 year warranty.

It’s available on Kano.me. Target and Amazon.

Both my boys love coloring, painting, and crafting.  They can do it for hours…yea for me, hehe. OOLY has gifts sets for the Holidays that can be purchased all year around too.

Little Wonder Coloring Gift Set

This is a great art set for boys ages 5-7  that includes lots of fun coloring and art supplies like a 3D dragon that comes alive with the included Colorables inflatable toy. Also in this art gift set are Double Dip Scented Markers (Ice Cream Scented!), Rainy Dayz Gel Crayons (can be used as watercolor crayons too), Kaleidoscope Colored Pencils and two Doodle Pad Duo Sketchbooks. Suggested for ages 5 to 7.

Available on OOLY.COM or Amazon.

Little Artist Gift Set for Toddlers

This set is perfect for my 3 1/2 year-old!  He just loves coloring and wants to be with his big brother and do the real coloring with paint, crayons and doodling.

The Chunkies Paint Stick set is like painting with a crayon. The quick drying paint comes in a twist up casing with a thick barrel; it’s perfect for little hands. Chunkies are a great way to introduce toddlers to painting without the mess.

The Little Artist Gift Set for Toddlers is available on OOLY.com or Amazon.

This year I’m focusing on my children’s creativity.  I’m so glad that they love to build, learn, and create.  These are such great gifts, not just for the Holidays but for all year around.
